Work Environment

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

Our state-of-the-art facility is heated with forces hot air and 2 natural gas heaters. In the warmer months, we keep the temperature controlled with several fans and a portable air conditioner.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We have 3 service advisors and 1 Express advisor, one dispatcher and an off-site warranty administrator, one appointment coordinator, 2 BDC consultants and an after-hours service for overflow and off hours phone calls and 5 parts personnel.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30AM-6:00PM and Saturdays from 8:00AM-5:00PM. We offer a 5-day workweek totaling 40 clocked hours and offer bonus 6th day, additional $1.00 per hours increase to the flat rate retro to 1.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We provide all factory required Chrysler/Stellantis special tools, a variety of aftermarket scanners for older and competitive make vehicles, laptops and the latest software for our Hunter alignment machine, our service drive is equipped with an alignment check computer to help increase alignment sales, Hunter tire machine and Hunter road force balancer, we provide torches and we are equipped with overhead air reels and overhead oil guns along with an overhead exhaust system.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Clean and quiet break room with refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine and vending machines.

How many bays does your shop have?

14 bays.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

1350.

What is your parts ordering process?

All parts ordering with be handled by our parts staff.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

We provide coolers full of water and Gatorade, a large community presence, employee discounts, and a great team/family environment.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We offer online Chrysler/Stellantis training at no cost and paid training at several Chrysler/Stellantis training centers.

We prefer to promote from within and always look internally before advertising outside.

Can you describe your performance review process?

Monthly informal one-on-one meetings and annual performance reviews.

What type of safety training is required?

A/C certification is required (can be completed at no charge). ENYCAR safety training through the year when necessary.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Our your/less experienced techs work with the shop foreman for 2 weeks, upon completion of the 2 weeks the service manager and foreman meet with the tech on their progress. After evaluation, tech will then start shadowing techs in specific skill levels.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

We will continue to be the best dealership in the Capital District to purchase and service our growing customer base and maintain the level of customer satisfaction set by our manufacturer.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

We do have an online application and it usually takes less than 10 minutes to complete.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Applicants are screened by the hiring manager and then an in person or phone interview is scheduled.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

One on one question and answer with the hiring manager.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

Background and MVR are conducted prior to offer and with hire being contingent to outcome.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

Depending on the number of applicants and results from Background & MVR which varies
